My barber is gay. He had some mannerisms that made people believe he was even if he didn't admit it aloud. But he is. He retired recently.
I always thought I was fair enough to not care about that part of other peoples' lives. Still am IMO.
I do think most queers are liberal, democrats, etc. Stereotype I know, but it's pretty true.
So, some dumb **** gets her face shot by a government employee trying to earn his pay. That came up in conversation during my haircut when that was fresh news. Barber Swish got all pissy because I said, "I don't care. I wasn't there, I don't know the dead woman, besides: What was her part in it? Who put her in harm's way? Her own self."
He basically went off on me and brought up Trump. WTF?! I thought he was better than that. I was wrong.
Leftie rule I broke: We must all hate all the right things at the same time.
I obviously don't hate Trump enough to suit people in general.
A few years ago I didn't hate Bammy enough.
I found Biden to be pathetic and mentally gone. I disliked whatever mystery team guided his auto-pen. Didn't hate HIM though.
So, the gay barber showed his true colors because some dumb broad drove toward a LEO and paid the price.
He can pretend to care so much he now dislikes me... after years of pleasant chat and friendship.
But I refused to pretend to care at all. Because I don't. Not my fault that a 40-something brought on her own demise.
I don't dislike his gayness. I dislike his disingenuousness.
Please seat yourself.
I like the very things you hate.
